Freshman at UConn Stephon Castle, who wowed the nation in the NCAA Tournament Final Four, has entered the 2024 NBA Draft, he revealed to ESPN on Friday.

Castle may end up being selected in the lottery. The 6-foot-6 guard is ranked ninth by ESPN among the top 100 prospects for the June 26–27 draft.

He cannot opt out of the draft and rejoin the national champion Huskies because he has signed an agency.

Along with his friends Donovan Clingan and Alex Karaban, he has decided to enter the draft; however, Karaban has not yet enrolled in an agent’s program and plans to return to school. Tristen Newton and Cam Spencer, two more starters for UConn, are ineligible.

Castle was a superb defender who played in 34 games (30 starts) and averaged 11.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. He put together averages of 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in the Final Four versus Purdue and Alabama.
